I think griffins are supposed to be able to peer into hearts. Hachi was feeling jealous and hurting over the thought that Takuma was in love with Roku and that he could never replace Roku. The negative emotions woke the griffin up and caused it to attack.

I feel like the trauma caused by Kasumi’s mom was resolved way too easily but it’s a pretty lighthearted manga so I feel like it’s not meant to be taken too seriously
In a weird way I kind of like that Lily’s mom struggles with motherhood. I don’t like how abusive she was, but I think a character wanting to do better and struggling and recognizing that struggle is much more interesting than a character that is just immediately better.
Yeah same! She was a terrible mother but the way she shows her regrets/the flashbacks she has and mental breakdown show how much she loves Lily now and I find this struggle very beautiful. I hope that she won't disappoint in the future and continue to make amends for Lily.
Thank you, someone finally said it. I really love how the author took their time to slowly mend her character. Because, Let's be honest, Realistically a person can not change overnight or just after a few weeks/months. She's still a bad mother though, but she's getting there. Just needs a little more time, I really do hope she doesn't messed up big time though. I think it would be nice to hear Atil call her mother or auntie at some point. Same goes to his majesty, because he really needs to put up his game
