Crying and saying "I'm scared", "stop", "I don't want this" are lines I see way too often in BL manga. It's not consensual in this moment, it's assault, and I'm so sick of mangaka and fans hand-waving it away with "but he really actually wants it so it's ok".
I don't care if people find this hot, cute, sexy, etc. That's not my point. My point is that this is a trope that's way too common and shouldn't be so normalized, framed as "this is just how he shows love for [you]". Unless it's something that's been explicitly discussed between characters this is the wrong way to show that two characters are getting equal amounts of enjoyment from this experience.

Honestly I can’t understand the logic behind physically and mentally enjoying sex and saying these that sounds way unrealistic. And I hate it how the semes can’t understand a simeple fact, if someone gets hard, it’s a biological reaction, not ‘honesty’ and I hate it so much when they say ‘but your body is honest’ and they don’t seem to know what ‘No’ means. No means no, nothing more than that. Even if the other person is just teasing or actually enjoying it, when they say ‘no’, what gives you the right to forcefully do that? That bothers me so much. The way it’s handled by the bottom is even worse. *What is this feeling? I don’t like this but it feels good’ isn’t what a rape victim thinks about in the moment. The way they treat rape victims as if they just had another bad day and they can easily forget about it and be happy immediately, is hilariously illogical and ridiculous.

You know i completely get where you're coming from, and this guy was way too forceful. I do like that the seme didn't go all the way until the uke gave actual consent... but everything up until that was rape city. I'm beginning to understand that the japanese seem to have this thing in their culture where it's not ok to show your desire when in the female type role. This one girl i talked to said it's expected for you to put up a fight almost... strange to an american like me that's for sure

This is the kind of trope it went for the story they chose to create since its this kind of genre, lines like that are unavoidable if the author decided that the characters should act that way in a particular scene, probably(idk) to build up angst and rile up readers besides saying that its "common and shouldn't be normalized" is a little late for that around 80 percent of these mangaka exists. I know that you're only making a point but this kind of manga isn't for you friend better avoid reading something like this nxt time

I don't really care, neither did Yuki7, but you told the person they're ugly for no reason. Like seriously, we aren't the ones who need a life.
And if it seemed like I cared, that's my bad.
Originally, the topic was about romantasizing non-consensual sex, which isn't even the case for you, 'coz you wouldn't say no...so you're totally off topic anyways.
And it would be a problem to you too, if you don't consent, is what I meant. IF being the functional word.

Thank you! People really talk big online about how they would love to get raped. Like bitch, no you don't. Take it from someone who was actually raped and was molested as child. Stop acting like rape, which is never consensual, is some sexy thing you want. My rapist was my ex.
Consensual non-consent in kink is something that you and someone else can explore but DO NOT act like real life assault is a good thing. Cause I swear to god, not all rapists are just going to forcefully fuck you. They may beat the shit out of you too. Girls on here really need to get their heads checked. You don't get to pick who rapes you. That's the whole point of rape.

something about this story bothers me, though i can't place exactly what it is.
i want to say it's because it's a child-grooming story but that doesn't make sense if the adult didn't actually raise the child to be his sexual partner, and it's not a shotacon story either because the child grew into adulthood (albeit at an abnormal rate).
maybe it's just because of the adoption angle in general? it didn't seem necessary for the vampire's childhood to be touched on at all if he was going to grow into adulthood within a few months of the story itself.
i'm not sure, it's just a story that left me with a vague feeling of discomfort the entire time.

i’ve always thought that the discomfort i felt while reading this was because of the old lover dying and then raine becoming depressed, which gave the story a gloomy feeling throughout it, and him then filling his loneliness by adopting a child gave the story more of a gloomy feeling as well. not to mention it made you feel awkward and uncomfortable. but i don’t know that’s what i feel reading this.

This manga so very quickly became my favourite. I'm so excited to see which direction this goes! It has so much potential to be dark, erotic, innocent, light-hearted, psychological... I love how versatile the story can be!!
Plus the artwork is so gorgeous. Everything looks so soft and fluid, it's almost tangible.

Cool, so it's a story about a con man who grooms a teenage boy into falling in love with him, rapes him when things look like they're going bad, abandons him instead of doing anything to make things even remotely ok, and then brushes away what he's done with "I'm evil and twisted but i love you".
and we're just supposed to be ok with that, like the mother of this story who is never around for her child and was way too chill with her ONLY CHILD wanting to enter into a relationship with his rapist.
yes bitch YES
this is the moment i've been waiting for since chapter one!!!! i'm on the edge of my seat to see how this nightmare ends!!
