Yahwi is being a total haughty bitch but what's up with jooin like ma dude I get you like him and all but he treat you like shit why you hanging on drop it and if you concerned about his or your reputation (which he clearly concerned about) stop like stoppp running behind that bish of a sunbae everytime ya see him in school!!!
They're 25 like......if there were some sort of thing that was causing them to revert back into childlike thinking it would make sense...then again maybe it's cause now everyone treats them as a child .......but I don't it just doesn't match up like their thoughts vs their supposed current age they mentioned...
I really love how intolerant people here are to like a rape scene of sorts (*rape scene* cause consent was not given even) I used to think meh it's fiction and used to well, buy into the romantacization of the whole situation but everytime when I see the comment section on such works it makes me realize that I shouldn't cause then I'd be basically normalizing this thing in the name of romance
In my point of view, I'm ok since it's fiction and we well aware of what the ending is and the character is feeling (since it's fiction and it's written, and planned out ). but I think we, who have human moral is clever enough of not normalizing rape.
ppl just don't comment "oh this character raping another character this is bad", instead we comment "oh damn this seme is so horny XDXD" because we well aware what's their relationship is going to be, not because we normalizing rape
in the real world, we don't know what rapist have in mind we're not mind reader.
since it's fiction, the rape can be use as a plot build up (well to keep the story interesting), if story is consist good relationship or good scene (like holding hand stuff like that), it's not gonna be entertaining... all story needs a ugly relationship (fighting, in worst case force sex) because our brain isn't used to that stuff, you might be thinking this when the rape scene "ugh what a shitty seme" but unconsciously you have become more engage in the story.
the proof that you more engage in the story is, that you starting to think "I wish the seme would be a better person for the uke" and in many cases, they did became a great person for the uke
then again, we're human being, our brain can tell which fiction and real life.
we can have different thought process during the force sex, but then again it's not about normalizing rape. a story it's all about making the reader (slightly) feeling the character, if you feel about the uke being rape by a shitty seme (that's good, you can feel their feeling), you want the seme to be a better person?? that's what the author wants, why? because the seme is the main character.
if the main character is hated, the story fails (but not entirely), if the main character is hated till the end of the story? that story fails (period).
what I'm trying to say is, human are smart. not a dumb ass and not a dead ass dumb bitch. no matter how fucking stupid human can be, we never normalizing stuff that are BAD for human themself. (except a fucked up ppl like rapist themself) but we? a grup of ppl that love our yaoi story? someone who wants our uke's and seme's to be happy? nope, not a chance
also it's ok if you feeling... entertain by the rape scene, cuz who cares am i right? as long as you don't rape someone it's fine.
quite well said :)
this comment thread??? Biggest brains. I actually get so annoyed now with ppl who are like "tHiS iS nOt OkAy Im DrOpPiNg ThIs GeT cAnCeLlEd"... sis it's fiction. These are two fake men in a fake situation building up a fake plot in a fake story and I think we, as humans, collectively know that this is fake...
I can compare it to people who think video games are inherently bad because a few kids think it's a great idea to do some bad things at school
thank you
ppl who thinks like that, are someone who died while doing the stupidest things in a horror movie XD
ummm seems like I didn't explain it properly I do get your point that such scenes are part of the story that helps keep readers engaged and i'm not here shaming anyone for their preferences... I mean i'm reading it too and I've read many other yaoi with such similar tropes as well so that isn't my intention here. I also know that human beings are smart enough to differentiate between what's fiction and what's real. These are all beside the point I was talking about.
I was just appreciating the people in the comment section who were intolerable of rape even though it's fiction (which is my opinion)
( I also don't get why people must express annoyance over other people who talk about dropping certain things cause of such scenes, it's a public comment section let people express themselves. someone is probably gonna be like don't read it then if you are so intolerable and like that's the exact thing that they are gonna be doing... not reading it so...just chill will ya)
got a bit side-tracked there but, My point is just.....basically the appreciation of those comments who leave a reminder to a subconscious mind that has gotten used to such things, that fiction or not rape is rape. It is okay to feel distraught or annoyed at the characters and the plot even though it was a fictional situation because that is human response to rape and absolute rejection of it is to be expected (despite it being fiction). I mean I have hope in people to know it's wrong but just in case since such tropes are so widespread and common personally I think that the comment section serves like a reminder of sorts a really strict and adamant one .
Well in the end it's my personal opinion.... some people find it annoying some misunderstand but that was basically what I was tryna say still not sure if i even said it properly but yeah...
yeah, I do get ur comment. just dropping my point of view here, all good.
I appreciate you for sharing your view in such a polite manner :)
