Tell me about it. I’m sick of seeing annoying women as romantic interests in action mangas. Although, there are a few that can get away with it, I believe it should be something authors should avoid doing if possible. I like romance, I just can’t stand it in other genres when that’s not what I’m trying to read about. They also tend to make the female love interest (in genres other than romance) very materialistic, and self absorbed, always totally obsessed with the ML’s power and or looks, which is just a stereotype now that’s it’s been done so much. As a woman myself, it’s annoying seeing it so much.
