something being “normal” in a certain time period doesn’t necessarily make it right. racism was normal but that doesn’t make it any less awful. it’s the same with rape. i actually do enjoy the story, but with the mindset that it isn’t a romance. i look at it as a cautionary tale, one that will hopefully end with seungho being punished. if the author intended it to be a romance then i will be very disappointed. good for the people who ship it tho, all the power to you so long as you don’t mix up fiction and reality. stories can explore the concept of rape without romanticizing it (look at killing stalking for example). i really hope the author gives us a reasonable explanation (not justification) for seungho’s behavior. also plz keep in mind this is my opinion, so we can all just relish the fact that we’re part of the same fandom ;)
