something being “normal” in a certain time period doesn’t necessarily make it right. racism was normal but that doesn’t make it any less awful. it’s the same with rape. i actually do enjoy the story, but with the mindset that it isn’t a romance. i look at it as a cautionary tale, one that will hopefully end with seungho being punished. if the author intended it to be a romance then i will be very disappointed. good for the people who ship it tho, all the power to you so long as you don’t mix up fiction and reality. stories can explore the concept of rape without romanticizing it (look at killing stalking for example). i really hope the author gives us a reasonable explanation (not justification) for seungho’s behavior. also plz keep in mind this is my opinion, so we can all just relish the fact that we’re part of the same fandom ;)

as i was reading this i was able to connect with the emotions of the characters and they felt really realistic, then at the end of the series the author dedicates this story to her first love 10 years ago. she must've felt all the emotions the characters went through because they're indescribably real. i just wanna say thanks to the author for giving us a meaningful story and telling hers through somebody else's <3

i love this story and the art is beautiful but one thing that really bothers me is how light the author makes of the sexual abuse. noah has barely any ptsd which makes no sense because he's been raped and abused for years. he seems way more mentally stable than he 'should' be. i'm not saying that all rape victims have to suffer from some mental disability, but considering the situation, that seems highly unrealistic. they make rape and sexual assault not as horrific as it actually is, and normally i wouldn't care but the author is actually trying to tell an story and this isnt hentai for you to get a quick wank out of. it just makes me really uncomfortable to actually try to love this story when those issues arent dealt with correctly.
