No. I came after so long just to see what was going because this manga will always be my all time fav only to end up seeing THAT!??
I SWEAR, Yana-sensei, IF YOU DARE, I'm going to haunt you in your dream because after YEARS I'm still not over my baby Agni's Death so if you fuck up with my Baby snake there's going to be a riot. NOT HIM, FUCK THIS SHIT, YOU CANT KILL SNAKE!! he's like the cutest addition to the Phantomhive house since YEARS, imma really cry if it's real. ( I swear Agni's end still haunt me and the snowball effect of his death has been devastating) literally the WORST way to peek at the story. How am I supposed to sleep after this nightmare? Man I'm really going to cry bloody tears if he really die ಥ╭╮ಥ

Man is it so hard to have an a/a trope for once ? This is like thinking you found diamond in the ocean only to realize it's those fake ass plastic thing.
I don't really mind the gender switch tho, it's seems to suit the story right, even though it look like an easy solution the author cooked because of his trauma. ( Like, "oh I'm an omega now! I'm never going to attack my bro because of my fck up instinct now, we can't return to being brothers again!!” sorry but it doesn't really work like that you need therapy sweety.) This is actually the second time I've seen genderswapp in manga so I'm not too confused about wtf what's going on.
I can't wait to see next chapter but still think it's a shame to not stay 100% a/a ( I'm still hoping his body is just developing weird symptoms because of the sudden attention by his to be mate, cue why he's able to get it up but still with no drastic gender change that'll will just make it soooo bland otherwise)

Baby making is the heart of this universe, and some don’t allow male alpha to give birth (only omega) so it’s considered a taboo. So unless the male alpha can also give birth, I personally don’t get the appeal for A/A or any of the other random pair offs, so it makes sense that they are going to be rare. They just slide right back into being just… taboo with sex, which plenty regular manga deal with.
In this particular manga, yes he does need therapy, but the author also thought that having family members respond to each other’s pheromones was a good idea so you can’t necessarily blame him completely. He’s doing to best thing he can by staying far away and trying to bond so that he can never smell the pheromones that drove him to committing an atrocity again. It’s not like his problem will be instantaneously fixed by this, but it will allow him to approach his brother once more to begin healing their relationship (assuming his brother is open to doing so).

Well I won't say the whole theme of a/b/o is like you said the baby making despite being of the same gender, in my opinion it's more about the whole bonding and heat/rut. At the end of the day not every couple want to have a proof of their love in the form of a baby. The whole omegaverse theme is a malleable theme were anybody can do whatever they want with it, that is why it is an appealing theme. It's just going to be boring If a/o pair are always the endgame like any other het stories.
Yaoi, in itself, is a gender that depicted the taboo of m/m relationship but it became so popular over the years that the whole taboo aspect of it disappeared out of the window. ( I mean we're in 2023, I'm glad it doesn't feel like people have to search at the end of a desert to find the Oasis of their dream and consume whatever reading they like)
I like taboo themes and how authors weaves their way around whatever society is against, as long as the story is good Idgaf about whatever theme you write about.
In my opinion It's still so much more interesting to see alphas falling for each other despite their dynamic not supposed to be going that way. If we talk about going the original route of omegaverse with bad societal view of omegas and them existing only for breeding purpose then, YEAH ! I'm all for Alphas pair because that will be so much more worse in that kind of environment lol. I'm not saying I don't like other pair, I'm an avid consumer of omegaverse stories and I like every type, even the swapping gender ones, as long as the plots is good. My guilt pleasure is just about hotheaded alphas buttig against each other for other reasons than the pretty omega on the side. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ To each their own I guess.
Like I said there's so little a/a stories so when you expect something only to unexpectedly have it do a reverse uno card it's a bit upsetting. Not that the way this manga is going is bad.
In this setting I totally understand what the author want to do with him trying to find a bond fast to kind of glue back the pieces of his relationship
with his brother. But it's still suck if having him turn into an omega end up being the " solution" author cooked. (at the end of the day it depend on if they want to make a short story or not I guess¯_(ツ)_/¯ )
Lmaoo " I'll take responsibility for this" dude is so gone already
