Okay so it’s not perfect, but it definitely does flesh out the world a lot more. It answers a lot of questions about characters that weren’t given any thought to after like one scene in the original and Suho isn't his dad and will never be his dad that isn’t the point of the series. Solo leveling isn’t and I will never claim it to be the peak of storytelling. This sequel is compelling in comparison though. I understand why the person who replied to you was upset. They definitely took it too far though. I prefer Solo Leveling because I have that attachment to Sung Jinwoo, however, I can’t deny that Suho is a good character and that Ragnarok is doing a great job at a sequel series, authors could learn a thing or two with this ╮(￣▽￣)╭

A persons fleeting opinion shouldn’t get you mad like that lol the person realistically had no reason to be upset in the first place. Also, I don’t think so. personally. For context I was reading SL when we were still waiting on chapters and even I’m able to look at this DC legends adjacent sequel subjectively but it literally feels like I’m reading the same book. There weren’t many plot holes in the OG that the sequel had to fill anyways. It feels like I’m reading omniscient!!!! Personally, It should’ve just ended when the OG manga was over bc the only thing that is different in this manga is the illustration.

Good for you. I said “new readers” because the OC said something about web commenters. I also was reading SL when it was receiving updates…I’ve read a lot of mangas/manhwas/manhuas that were receiving updates that are now anime’s and have sequels but who said I felt superior llllllol?? Personally, this particular sequel doesn't fill any plot holes because there weren’t that many plot holes in the OG to begin with. Also, as I’ve said. It’s exactly like SL and there shouldn’t have been a sequel bc now there are even more plot & LORE holes that probably won’t be patched. Let me say this again, it’s my opinion as a subjective reader.

I was reading the novel when chapters were still updating for Solo Leveling as well. Maybe you don’t see as many differences as I do, because like you said opinions vary and it’s your right. I agree that the commenter also didn’t need to lash out at you like that either. I’m mostly just replying to you so that we can continue this conversation because I genuinely appreciate your perspective on the story. I was an early reader too, novel and manhwa. I’m not necessarily talking plot holes because I feel like Sung Jinwoo’s story ended and was tied with a nice little bow. I did have questions though about what happened to the monarchs that Jinwoo killed and what happened to Esil because she kind of just disappears? A lot of questions that you don’t really get the answer to in the original. It’s not necessarily important to Jinwoo’s plot but this story is good at making it important to Suho’s and I appreciate it. This story is good at separating itself from the original and a lot of sequels aren’t good at that. Now is it better than the original? Not in my opinion. It’s still a good series though so I enjoy reading it occasionally. Thanks for talking to me though it was nice to hear from a fellow early reader! (⌒▽⌒)

and as i said and the other person said, there are still many plot holes in the og story such as jinwoo being the predecessor of shadow monarch so ofc other monarchs will have one aswell and their back story almost non existent in the og since author really trying so hard to make them enemies who shouldnt be loved by the readers. and again, jinwoo fighting an alien attack in the end of the og story which feels to sudden to end it without any explanation how the story from one planet its rulers to a multiverse scale and that is why ragnarok arc is pretty important for those who still love to reading the same title, also bit disappointed bcs it's not him ngl but well

anyway since you mentioned illustration, you should read "lessa". it has great story and art style which are not generic.

They were a lot of plot holes. This just tell me you read the og work like a children picture book. And it’s painful to see you bring up old readers new readers to defend your lack of understanding. Cause now we will understand what happened to the rulers and who are those absolute beings. We could actually understand the origin of monarchs cause how did ashorn who is originally a fragment of light just became the absolute darkness? For no reason ? Now there’s an explanation about why this dimension when they are others, why used the cup of time twice for it too You should just keep reading and shut up, if you find it boring then keep rereading SL, drop this and shut up. Cause you can’t say things like this with this amount of unfounded confidence
