I didn't want this story to end! The character development was outstanding, and the plot was intensely captivating. The storytelling was superb. However, I felt that certain key elements, like the reincarnation and its underlying reasons, deserved more attention. The characters should have had the opportunity to explore and discuss these aspects rather than skimming over them.
While it was understandable that Officer Soh prioritized solving the crime immediately after reincarnation, addressing this pivotal event now that they’re moving forward together would add depth. Otherwise, it risks feeling like a narrative shortcut rather than a fully developed storyline.
One intriguing idea is that the author could make a connection between the reincarnation and the animals that were killed. Perhaps the animals, having met their untimely deaths, were responsible for giving our leads the chance to solve the crimes committed against them by granting them the opportunity to be reincarnated. This could be tied to the lore of cats having nine lives, suggesting that these animals used their remaining lives to aid in seeking justice. Such a connection would bridge the gap in this essential plot point. With that addition, this story would undoubtedly be a perfect 10/10.
Oh, please enlighten me: why on earth do so many of you adore this side couple, let alone prefer them over the main one? Haha, are you seriously into garbage-tier guys? Ahaha, but for real, if you're craving a cheesy, clichéd, and brainless BL dynamic, maybe this webtoon just isn't for you. Haha, and why are you all so quick to forgive Chung, the utter jerk who has nothing going for him except being hot? Hahahaha, your taste is impeccable, truly. Haha, I'm not just infuriated, I'm baffled. Downvote all you want, but if you’re one of those who worship this trash pairing over the main couple, please, do enlighten us.
It’s interesting how you label the side couple as “cheesy, clichéd, and brainless” while suggesting that anyone who likes that dynamic shouldn’t be reading the webtoon. If you’re so averse to those elements, why let them bother you so much? The main couple has their own set of problems that might not be any better, and their constant drama has made them less engaging for many readers. Everyone’s tastes are different, and maybe the side couple's appeal is just a refreshing change from the main couple's issues. If everyone had the same taste, discussions would be pretty dull, don’t you think?
It’s amusing how you’ve conveniently ignored that most of the irritation comes from people claiming this secondary pairing is better than the main one. Let’s set the record straight: I’m unapologetically judging those who think that. Claiming this pair is superior when they add no substance to the story and offer only fleeting comedic moments is, frankly, superficial. Also, what else should I call it when it is indeed cheesy, cliché, and brainless? Haven’t we seen enough of this dynamic in the BL space? To call it better than the dynamic of the main couple truly calls for a side-eye at those who believe such nonsense. If the main couple’s story, which delves into the complexities of deep trauma, seems boring to you, maybe it’s time to find a new story.
Did you miss my question about why people are still so interested in whatever fkn love life Chung gets into? Haha, I am genuinely curious to understand the mindset that can root for such a piece of garbage. Again, I am judging; you don’t need to point out the obvious.
What’s truly disappointing about your response is that you’re fixated on why I’m so affected, offering the tired excuse of “different tastes.” I know that already. I can see that clearly. What I actually want to know in depth is why you like them. I am certainly risking the chance of offending people because I am curious. It’s clear I’m being judgmental, and I’m not interested in a lecture on why I should stop.
how about you sit on your ass and let people enjoy whatever they wanna? i love the first couple and i won't be making excuses to you; Inwoo and Jiho are being lil assholes with no communication skills and that gets on people's nerves. if that's your appeal, fucking great for you, jfc. but it's not for everyone, walk your fucking way. no one's got to explain in depth like it's a duty to write an essay to you to explain why the second leads are refreshing; they just fucking are and it's great timing for some people; it blows off some of the frustration from the main couple. especially after the stark difference, people are gonna choose the least angst one, it is pretty fucking obvious. if you wanna come at me for cursing, maybe don't be condescending next time. i'm matching your vibes here.
You need to chill, people enjoy the second couple because they are polar opposite from the main couple. The main couple has their own problems they are full with angst and “seriousness” while the second couple makes us feel giddy and cheery yes it might be cheesy but it’s a fresh breathe of air. I don’t see people forgiving Chung (or at least I don’t) but we love to see his character growth and becoming a better person that’s what this story is all about “People Flaws” and them bettering themselves, for the side couple I can see Boram changing Chung for the better I don’t get what’s so “trash” about that. You cursing and throwing a fit won’t change the story or people view of the side couple, be mature and skip their story instead of acting childish and getting all mad lmao clown behaviour fr.
I’m assuming you’re here because you like the second couple more, as that is the very drive of my original question. If you’re not among those people, or if you’re unwilling to explain why you prefer the second couple over the first, then sit this one out. My question was directed at judging the people who claim the second couple is better and more interesting. That’s why suggesting they get the fuck out and read something else is warranted.
It’s amusing how both of you insist that I need to “chill” and accept any preference without question. Just because someone has the right to like something doesn’t mean those preferences are immune to criticism.
Inwoo and Jiho’s complex communication struggles are integral to the story’s exploration of trauma and emotional depth. Dismissing these elements in favor of a couple that provides only fleeting comedic relief is missing the point of the narrative. If you find the lighter, superficial dynamic of the second couple more appealing, that’s your choice. But claiming they are superior because they offer a temporary escape from the main couple’s depth is not only shallow but undermines the very essence of the story.
The fact that you think liking something means it shouldn’t be questioned or challenged is laughable. Preferences can and should be debated, especially when they contradict the core themes of the story. The main couple’s journey through trauma and complexity is what gives the story its substance. Elevating a fluffy, surface-level subplot above that not only misses the point but deserves to be called out.
If the substance of my critique offends you, maybe it’s time to reflect on why a preference for superficial fluff needs such vehement defense. Critical opinions exist to differentiate between genuine narrative quality and mere entertainment. If that’s too much for you to handle, then perhaps you’re the one who needs to reconsider your stance.

I love both set of couples I don’t shit on one to validate the others I’m giving opinion on why the second couple isn’t as “trash” as u make them out to be. I’ve read plenty of complex characters and relationships stories but just because I love a couple that are angst free and complex free doesn’t make my intelligent any lower. At the end of the day it’s not as deep as u making it out to be lmao chillax and read the story without popping a vein yeah?
They’re so cute Also, can I have Sunabara then?
