Spoilers even though it's complete~
First, Dietrich is alive. We find out around 70-80 that he's alive and married to a nice lady. He has amnesia, the barbarians had tied him up and were dragging him when his future wife rescues him from them!
Second, Wil is trying to turn her into his pawn to be the one to kill the Crown Prince without getting his hands covered in blood so that he can fulfill our FL's revenge without it being tied to her as well.
Third, they never get married! It's hilarious because Wil keeps trying to get her to marry him, but she doesn't until their second child is old enough to inherit the title she has so that she never loses her father's land and title to the imperial family after fighting so hard to get it.
