i just loved. LOVED how it was a little weary to see an underage crushing on the teacher, but the teacher was responsible and rejected every advance at that time. as sad as that is, it’s illegal and kinda gross to think a student is dating a teacher in a realism aspect. but the fact they came back together and as legal adults is so MUCH nicer and also an interesting take to how it’s possible to end up in a relationship with someone you had as a teacher under a legal light. I also found it interesting how Sensei and him were both adults but he referred to him constantly as a “student” and was scared of being a pedophile. which obviously wasn’t the case, they’re both adults and in the work environment. it’s another realistic mindset and obstacle that he needed to overcome to fully accept the guy.
