this reminds me of how some people still don’t understand what “dead dove: do not eat” means. maybe someone’s dealing with trauma, maybe someone is writing out their intrusive thoughts, or maybe someone just wants to write this type of stuff. if you understood how intrusive thoughts worked, you’d realize nothing you’re saying here matters. people KNOW what they’re reading is problematic, and a majority of the time they can distinguish fiction from reality.
the research on the relationship between fiction and reality has been studied extensively and even then the results aren’t conclusive. some studies say watching violent media for example makes people desensitized or more AFRAID of reality, instead of more drawn to doing it irl.
y’all are free to draw your own boundaries on what you want to consume, but you can’t draw someone else’s boundaries or police them for it. and you are obviously entitled to your belief that works like this shouldn’t exist, but you know full well what you’re getting into by commenting here.
how about you protect your own peace and go do something you enjoy instead of camping here? your puritan attitude isn’t going to change anything. you’re not making anyone feel ashamed, you’re not making anyone stop reading. all you’re doing is talking to a wall.
