so my theory is that its because francios died so long ago. if he died when mikos mama was in highschool hed be dead probably at least 30 years, maybe up to 50. even though he looks like that we already know hes a protective spirit too. there is one flaw here though and thats the chapter with the old man in the hospital. his wife and child were waiting for him in the afterlife for much longer. maybe it has to do with intelligence or location, since the hospital was a "hot spot". could also have to do with francios obviously eating other spirits.
I like the idea of the more the spirits eat, the more they get deformed. The dog, being the mother's protector, would always eat the bad spirits around her that's why he looks like that
BROOO look at Tora and Tetsuya- look how good they look in their 30s and 40s. I love this end for them and I’m definitely gonna re read their spin off story again.

Really wasn’t expecting this to be that good but damn. I was so wrong and I’m actually pretty happy I was wrong lol. The plot twist with the cup, the princess, and the duke father was so well done. I love how the relationships were so complex especially Sophia’s and the princess’s connection. “The bond between women, seems like men can’t even imagine it.”

But main orange guy and the black haired guy. Felt sick reading what black hair guy went through- can’t imagine how he feels/felt at that moment, the dread and anger of being used to just physically fill a contact. How sad
I’m relieved Harper wasn’t Patroclus- I just couldn’t see that making much sense so I’m glad the story focused more on moving on and learning to live again. I also liked the approach of Harper relationship with social media tho I didn’t really like his character much. He’s alright but I don’t think he ever fr apologized to achilles. Achilles was the one doing most of the apologies even tho I don’t think he ever “led” Harper on. He wasn’t fully ready and was slowly trying to develop their relationship so I don’t consider Achilles in the wrong. Plus I can’t blame him for being a little salty dude read his mind instead of just talking about what things or actions that would have made him feel better.
In the novel I always thought he would be pretty and the manga definitely nailed that- if he’s showing up, it won’t be too long before we meet the rest of the dragon crew lol- I can’t wait for Cale to have dragons at his call hehe
