The way Donghyuk decided to save Kyungsoo is kind of meh honestly and at this points to explain the characters actions is really difficult cuz everything is just a big mess. I think the author herself or himself dig his own grave with how he built up the story and now to wrap it up with satisfying ending is impossible. I dont think the author planned much of the story. I think this was like the author stretching her creativity after she got interested in this sort of theme because otherwise I'd be concerned and think she should be checked somewhere for mental reasons...
