Not sure if the author dropped it themselves. Usually most people here wouldn't know any better so it's not really a good place to ask questions about status of work(s) (we usually just go to mangaupdates or check the official apps where the stories are released if we can enter their strict login gate).
The anime is about to come out this month so I feel like it would just be odd if the author suddenly dropped it. Ty for the link
