Low key would want a manga that tackles that issue even if its a gag/ comedic take nitpick at the trope, heck bring every legal court issues we have with other aus, genres into a ace attorney court style, it would be interesting/ legendary to see it be dissected.

It’s less that bl doesn’t have a court system and more that Japan has such a strong shame system that most victims feel ashamed of becoming a victim and therefore barely speak out. Especially male victims. Men can literally be beaten up to the point of hospitalisation and will still not say who it was because somehow they think it makes them a “coward” or “weak” for not handling it alone. Add in the shame the pride community feels for not upholding the families expectations of them and they REALLY won’t want to speak up. He’s not only gay, he’s dating his boss, he has a porn streaming site that he uploads himself to AND he got caught and is now being blackmailed. The police would victim blame then tell him to live a better life with a normal woman instead of a male boss and he might get disowned and the courts and police might not even take his case as it’s a “civil matter”. It’s not as easy as you’re making it out to be. He also has to prove blackmail. If the other guy deletes the video then it’s over and he can counter sue for false claims and slander. To begin with, blackmail is one of the hardest things to prove anyway since it’s so easy to destroy evidence.
