More confusion. Wasn't the story always that Dojin had to take care of the mom because the dad was out of the picture and that their mom raised them on her own? I mean I've read the MS multiple times and once very recently. I don't get this, what is this setup? The dad is acting like they're still married, but how can that be?
Also the mom knows about Dojin and Taeju and I would imagine she knows Dowon is gay. I don't expect her to say anything to the dad and grandad, but maybe a head up to her sons, if she knows what these two bumbling idiots are up to? I've been questioning my sanity since this side story started because I know what I've read multiple time and it's not matching up with this side story. Please let me know if I missed or forgot something.

I think I always skipped a lil bit of their family description or problems but after I read your comment and then look at the dad I thought mom just leave him out I mean look at him we can see mom took care of them all making all the decisions( ̄∇ ̄") well, it’s almost look like mom keep him around as a pet( ̄∇ ̄") His other role is to annoy his sons to get married

Ok, so I can buy that they are doing better now. Considering the look on Taeju’s face when Dojin showed him his account balance. Both brothers love their mother and are pretty well off, so I wouldn’t be surprised that they would make sure their mother at least (because this father and grandfather are strangers as far as I’m concerned) is living well. I also think she did ok for herself I. The end. I’ll have to go back and check again.

Ok. So I actually went back to reread, and so far have not gotten to the part when they discuss the mom raising them alone. But I did read the part where he talked about living in the country side as a child, not an apartment. Also, his family actually was not poor because they were mad at him for not finishing law school and being like the rest of the family. Maybe the mom did raise them herself, and didn’t have much of her own, but they don’t exactly come from poverty.

I can't believe they still have him calling him mister, like they're strangers, in the official translation.

official translation loves translating these korean honorific names like hyung and ahjussi to shit like brother and uncle and mister and all that, and i never understand why too cause its just not really a textbook translation for these words so why not just leave them as they are
like some guy calling an older male brother or uncle when they have an intimate relationship only makes it super weird sounding

Love this story, but this current storyline is so weird to me only because the father and grandfather were never part of the picture, both brothers are in their mid to late 30s I believe, now all of a sudden they're popping up and trying to marry them off to women, when they've probably never seen either on of them with a woman (definitely not Dowon).
I just feel like this whole story arc is out of nowhere.

Ok now this is starting to really come together. Taekyung has done all of this not just to keep his promise to Heeseo's mom, but to protect Heeseo from the accomplice who probably killed the mom and tried to kill Heeseo too,... is what I'm getting from today's chapter.
That makes a lot more sense as to why he won't say anything to Heeseo and why he's been so obsessed with finding out what really happened. I have a feeling that since the prosecutor who took the letter is a woman, she may be the accomplice or know them. That would make sense as to why the Mom was so afraid of them and didn't want to get anyone else involved.
I wonder if Taekyung said something to the wrong person back then, trying to help the mom and somehow it got back to the killer.
These are all just my theories based on everything up to now.

Just want to put this here before anyone gets too excited:
There's a mistranslation in EN where Seung ho says do you want to put it in or if not I'll do it next time (So before all the switch fans get too excited) just wanted to say it's actually supposed to say "Do you want to put it in? or if not... Do you want me to put it in?
Just wanted to warn people before they get their hopes up too high.

Um- I actually interpreted it exactly the way that you said is correct
And I mean… the visuals and the language all suggest that… it’s a muchhhhhh higher possibility than at any other possibly-switch instances in other BL.
“Or should I…” when Ho pulls away Boem’s hair, I see:
1. Dom natured Sung Ho (a dynamic accepted by Boem)
2. Boem’s sub / bottom-good like nature from just the way he looks after the suggestion at Ho (and how he looks to us.)
I AM GAGGED RN. I started crying and couldn't even speak. My roommate was worried.
