I really can't believe, almost the end of the story, years have passed, they are full fledged in a committed relationship, living together & the official EN still has him calling him mister, as if that is something any human in the same circumstances would ever do irl in the English language.

It is common practice in KR age gap bl for the younger man to call the older man ajhussi, just like they don't translate hyung because there's no real equivalent, ajhussi should also be left alone. How much does it take to make a short note explaining the usage for those who don't know. I can't even read the official because I can't stand him calling him mister all the time, like they're strangers.

What kind of is drugs is Sohan on to think his father has changed (for the better) even a tiny bit?!

The excuses and rationalizations he's making for him remind me more of an abusive partner relationship than an abusive parent -child relationship.

I would think that after going through everything he did to pay back his father's debts the rose colored glasses would be off. And I say this as someone with similar family experience as well as watching others go through it.

This is frustrating and triggering me to no end. I really can't stand to see kids of any age be used, abused and trampled on by their parents.

Best chapter ever just for that smile on Dojun's face.

I'll say it again. This season finale was so very cruel.

Maybe spoiler, so beware...

After reading the first chp of season two in KR I think there was a mistranslation in the official EN where Hwibum is talking to his friend about Yeonwoo.

Because the EN makes it seem like Hwibum told his friend he was seeing a guy, but based on the 2nd season he either said it was a girl or his friend assumed it was. Because the friend definitely has no clue coming in that they are dating or that Hwibum is at all into guys.

I'm dying for the 2nd season, but I also don't know if I can handle it. I don't want to see him with Jae won.

Why are we acting like Seo-an is the only one who's done wrong?

When you see your partner, not only being extorted, but physically abused by their parent, you're supposed to do nothing and just let it happen?

I love them both, but they are both in the wrong. Woowon is also wrong for keeping the stuff with his father and that other asshole from Seo-an, when both situations directly effect him, since the father was threatening to go to Seo-an and that other asshole is clearly obsessed with Seo-an and will do anything to push his buttons.

The main problem is that they both only want to show their good sides to each other, but that's not how relationships work. When you get past the honeymoon stage it's time to show your partner the not so pretty parts and if you both still want to be there that's when you know you have a relationship that goes beyond the surface.

I love them and hope they start openly communicating and can't wait for all the drama to settle down, please, soon, please.

I agree that they're both in the wrong but the main problem is that they both have abusive pasts which have cultivated exactly the habit of secrecy , which comes with feelings of shame and low self-worth. They've never had a honeymoon stage. They have been, in different ways, seeing parts of each others imperfections and darker pasts from the beginning. Remember how they got together in the first place. It's hard to disentangle from toxic family and even when you do, their presence in your life lingers. The wanting-to-show-my-best-side is kinda true both mostly just them rationalizing actions that have deeper, darker roots. Seo-an proves it because in that confrontation with Woo-won, with every good intention of wanting to help, he was his father. (Or is it the grandfather who runs the company? I forget.)
