This is the only one I remember the name of off the top of my head, but they were all like this until fairly recently! (at least on most sites I frequent, anyway)
This one in particular made me laugh, cuz I swear you could never tell what they were feeling except for the sound effects because all their expressions looked the same! Lol, so nostalgic.

Right?! Like, I try not to be such an art snob, but there's only so much I can take! Cuz like you said, there comes a point when the art is such a turnoff that you can't even properly enjoy the story--it's too distracting and takes you out of the moment!
