Honestly can’t get over how obnoxiously useless Jaina’s mother was. Not saying her dad doesn’t have to own up to his bs (who tf even casts a sociopath spell on themselves anyway?!).
So dragons can only be born out of love, and she told Diarmuid this. She found out she was dying and to avoid traumatizing her lover over it, her grand plan was to make him think she was cruelly manipulating him the whole time, then pretend she tried to murder him since she got bored? Because that’s not traumatic at all.
And it’s even worse because she was pregnant. Whether she knew before the fake betrayal or after she’s still unbelievably shitty. The lie she told basically means that there’s no way Diarmuid would accept or believe he’s the father. If she found out after she left, she could have visited or sent him a message to at least try to explain.
She knew her relatives were shitty and wouldn’t actually care for a “halfbreed”, but she didn’t come up with any plan b to make sure her kid was at all protected or cared for. She also knew that as a half dragon magician it would be extremely difficult to live safely among regular humans or magicians.
She really just threw her kid to the wolves just to make sure her ex wouldn’t feel sad about her dying.

BRO THIS IS EXACTLYYY HOW I FEEEL OMGG T_T like I can understand why people would get so mad at the father but he wouldn't have sealed his emotions if the mother didn't lie to him in the first place. Of course it would've hurt for him to find out that his lover is dying, but cmon she's basically leaving her daughter. Who else is gonna look after her - DEFINITELY NOT HER FAMILY smh.
I'm hoping there's more to this story other than the mother dying. Because that's such a sad excuse to leave your daughter fatherless and abandoned.

And the flashback shows that she knew her family wasn’t going to give a shit about Jaina’s! Her request wasn’t even just to generally take care of her, but to keep her alive until she was old enough to care for herself (somehow without learning magic as well) which is still a literal child. She knew she was dying and that her family would not love or properly care for her child, but she still chose to go through with her stupid plan to avoid making her bf sad over her death by traumatizing tf out of him and tainting all of his memories of her existence

Deadass the more we keep talking about it, the more pissed I am getting at the mother.
It's now going pass the point of stupidity and become the "ways to screw my daughters life without me being here" type smh.
I'm seriously hoping there's more to the reason why she did what she did, other than the fact that she was going to die.

Just goes to show that she cared more about not making her baby daddy sad than making sure her child was at all cared for. Though even that aspect was delusional because the trauma and distress from being brutally betrayed by a loved one kind of eclipses death in general. She could have spent that time with him and made sure their child would know him and be cared for

Gonna be Devil's Advocate for a hot minute. Maybe her main concern was if Dad found out, he'd kill the baby coz plot somehow but....
DONE BEING DEVIL'S ADVOCATE. She's a terrible mother. Any other place would have been better. What? They didn't have other friend? They had a whole ass adventurer party to work with and she couldn't leave her kid with them????
BUT SHE MADE HER SISTER PROMISE TO TAKE CARE OF HER. No shit really? Not even providing basic food for survival is taking care of her???
I feel bad for saying this but I am damn glad she's dead.

She reads like one of those boy crazy women who put male validation and their lovers above everything else. You have to wonder how she would have treated Jaina if Diarmuid knew about her, but didn’t like her either way. My guess is that she would have been pushed aside or neglected to cater to Diarmuid’s wants.

Fr fr. She's a classic example of people who shouldn't have kids. She knew what hardships her child was going to face with her clan and she left her with them anyways. It's like she only wanted a piece of Diarmiud that's irrevocably hers (because let's face it, feelings can change but parentage is immutable) and what happens after that is all up in the air.. she could've atleast left her with something or anything to solidly prove that he's the father aside from the whole ''dragons only have offsprings with the one they love'' bs. ( ・_・) it's just so frustrating to think that Jaina's life could've been a whole lot better if the mom actually used her brain and thought things through.

Fr!!! Hell she could have left her with the fucking QUEEN AND SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!!! Like how hard is it to make sure your child will live a happy life instead of worrying about your fucking baby daddy feeling's!!! Like ya we get it you were going to die boo fucking hoo you are still a mother in the end ACT LIKE IT!!! I thought dragons were protective of their young but NOPE not this hoe

So creepy manager basically pushed Ren into a fraudulent and risky identity ruse to artificially create a dependency and create vulnerabilities that could be exploited to both prevent Ren from leaving him and force him to rely on gross manager. Barf. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
He’s been maneuvering ren into an isolated corner since he was a child so he could take advantage one day. Yeet his ass into jail!!!

Bella is so annoying. Nobody ever hated or even disliked her. She just wasn’t the most popular girl in the kingdom. These people were still friends with her until she decided to self isolate, and even then they were legitimately concerned for her until she joined hands with the demon king. What pick me

I’m kind of over how stale the “romantic” developments are. Oh gee, another fl who is completely clueless about the numerous “romantic” gestures she receives and never gets irritated when they’re overbearing or selfish on the part of the MLs. How original! This reads like a male concept of what a guy thinks a female fantasy. The interpersonal characterization is so stale

Ok I thought the reason Doha “betrayed” would be like him being afraid to come out or some teenage bs, but damn, Shiwoon was pushing out red flags en masse! Completely nuts, yeah most people wouldn’t be able to put up with that level of obsession, dependence, and instability. Siwoon holdong a grudge for a chain of events that was entirely his fault and could have been prevented with actual communication that long is yet another red flag.

well, it's not his fault he grew up in an abusive household. It's not his fault he felt unloved by his parents. I don't think it's weird for him to lack communication skills considering how much of a loner he was, and how he was used for money most of the time. Some people become the way they are because they were shaped to be that way.
Gunner’s inferiority complex nuked their relationship. It wasn’t about being on equal footing, he just wanted to switch places to be the one with more money, connections, and prestige. He projected his obsession with superficial markers of success onto Theo, who would have happily dated him and supported him if he was a cashier for the rest of his life. He did it all for himself, and now he’s mad that Theoisnt interested in the person he became
Ooooh you're right it's like Gunner thinks that his so called efforts are now wasted
