Any one read the novel or watched the movie, Call Me By Your Name? I finished the book yesterday and it just hasn't left my system. It was just so beautiful. Now chasing the feelings I got from the book I will be watching the movie tomorrow. Anyone about to or plan to watch it? If you guys don't know about it then I highly recommend you guys watch and/or read it! If anyone already read/watched it, I would love to hear your thoughts!
I bought the book but the audiobook is in youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9g-Ig1-Wxk
The movie is in theaters right now. I don't think you can find it online yet.
The book was really beautiful and the movie reviews are also really good with oscar nominations for it. I am planning to go watch the movie tomorrow. I am so pumped! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Quite the SPOILER:
Oliver was in an on again off again relationship before he came to Italy. This was only 5 weeks together. He also says how if he parents knew about this affair he would be institutionalized. With the settings in the 1980s, its not hard to understand he went back to his life and got married. Though that knowledge didn't stop me from being heartbroken. ╥﹏╥
I just watched the movie and I was really disappointed in Oliver, their love should’ve meant more to him, and I kept waiting after credits for him to come and tell Elio it was all a joke. So angry right now.
Lol Elio looked creepy at the end when he smiled through his tears, I keep thinking theres a part 2 where he murders somebody
hahaha. Your comment is understandable. I just watched the movie today. But I knew what was gonna happen before I watched from the book. I TOTALLY get your reaction about Oliver. When I learned about his marriage I was sooo mad at him too. But you HAVE to understand the time this happened. It was the 80s. Like Oliver said, his parents would have institutionalized him. Elio's parents are just great parents despite the time they lived in. I think it was just inconceivable for him to end up together with a man. But it still didn't lessen his love for Elio. Elio is Oliver and Oliver is Elio to them after all. :)
And the last cry in front of the fireplace. I get what you are saying lol. But isn't all unrealistic. Human emotions are complicated. The thoughts on your head during such times are all over the place. A smile doesn't only convey happy or c person. When a person has lived through similar deep feeling, you can understand it. I felt it just made it more realistic (for me). :)
I wonder if any of you have watched the Netflix series Sense8. If you have I would love to hear your opinions on it (esp since I just finished season 2). If you haven't, I just wanted everyone to give it a try. This series is unlike anything that has been made. Their theme broadens to so many problems that surrounds our world. It is not just limited to one culture. It can be enlightening and exciting. It is also a great representation of the LGBT people. All the fujoshis and fudanshis are gonna LOVE our gay couple in the show. They are the sweetest. Fear not for the yuri lovers. You got your share too. I would highly recommend you guys watch this show.
P.S. It is VERY explicit. Like GOT explicit.
Hi guys. Any mangas that has made your heart squeeze? Basically any mangas where you might have just cried your eyes out due to heartbreak? (It would be nice it got a happy ending in the end though.)
Complex, an old school yaoi. It's been three years since I've read it and I still think about it to this day! It's practically a coming of age story and pretty much realistic. :)
One of the BEST. PLEASE READ THIS W/OUT ANY HESITATION.. Had a very beautiful ending and you can't stop crying after you'll read this .. I swear!
Kimi to parade (you need to read this 1st)

Since they started putting raws in this website I have been a little confused about it. When its Japanese manga and not manhua they only release it in Japanese from Japan right? or do they release the same stuff in Chinese too? Because all of us call the Chinese language mangas "raws". So I'm just curious if these "raws" are really raws or are they actually just translated stuff from Japanese like the stuff we read here?
The main characters work for the same company. The girl is a plain and pure girl who has a very active imagination. The main guy and his family (1 brother and 1 sister) can read other people's mind. After seeing the hilarious imaginations that form in the girl's mind he falls for her.
I totally forgot the name. Please help! Thank you!
I just watched this movie called The Way He Looks. This is just the cutest. Thought the fujoshis and fudanshis here would like this sweet story. Please do try it. :)

I usually stay away fro sad stuff, but these three manga did it for me lol I do too. The other two have a gentle melancholic vibe about them, idk about other people but they made me tear up. I have a few others in mind but they are Shounen-ai. Glad I could help, Happy Reading. :3 x
I don't mind shounen-ai at all. Please let me know what's in your mind ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
