Actually, it's big yes based the novel. It's Yanu's love language, to killing Eyra and be killed by Eyra only. Since dragon here couldn't feel any emotion except about its mate and they only know devour or be devoured, so murder intention = I actually care about this human? = It's my mate. Peak dragon romanticism one could say lmao.
Remember people this type of dragon love is only dragons don't go falling for some strange person with murderous intent even if their good looking and their body is good enough to eat and that D is just mmmhhmm delicious
