IceQueen4U created a topic of King The Land

I actually really enjoyed reading this, despite its short nature and the time skips from childhood to adulthood.

HOWEVER the gap between chapter 18 and 19, where he's just become a part of his family's hotel to suddenly asking her for a job at her own hotel which she apparently opened sometime _when_??? Well...it really through me off.
That, coupled with the final two chapters felt very rushed and like the author just wanted it to be over for some reason.

Another thing is the sub plots that were laid out but never really approached:
1) His conflict with his half-sister is just suddenly over; and while I don't think she ever apologized or they ever really spoke in depth about their issues and how to resolve them, she's close enough with him and the FL to take a vacation with her child at *their* resort instead of one of her own or someplace entirely elsewhere. When did everyone get so close? How did his a**hole father let him go so he could live his life the way he wanted?
2) His mother...she supposedly left and he was looking into her from childhood until taking a position under his sister at the family hotel, but...it just never popped up again.
3) The FL realizing that she didn't want to be just be a concierge, but that she wanted to create a welcoming place for everyone that felt like a home away from home. It's mentioned in passing in like 2 panels. When and how did she come to this realization? What was her experience like? What happened to her grandma btw? HOW THE HECK DID THEY FALL IN LOVE???????

And then they finally remember each other, and it's really cute, but it's over so quickly and only mentioned at the very very end...

There was a lot left to be desired in those final chapters, even though it was doing so well in the beginning....All the way up until chapter 18.
