A lot of foreigners have been coming into Korea lately especially big cities like Seoul and Busan. Some older people have very old old views, Korea has a whole history of being taken over so ofc thats why people are so against foreigners at times. But people’s views in Korea are changing a lot. Just make good trust worthy friends and youll have a blast.
I haven't been to Korea before but to my knowledge (friends/family who visited) it can be that way at times but overall you should be fine. Teaching is a respectable career so I'd think that you'd get the respect you deserve. I know the saying "when in Rome do what the Roman's do" but I also feel that it'd be better to stay true to yourself and dress as you please. The younger generations are more accepting when it comes to international people so please don't defenestrate your students lol I hope you enjoy your time in Korea and don't run into too many curmudgeons
