It honestly feels like Adele is playing around with the Duke's emotions, especially since she is aware that he does in fact love her, and is simply seeking a confession. As someone who knows the Duke was finding it hard to identify and express his emotions, and someone who apparently knows him so well, you'd think she could find a less evasive way of confronting him.
