I don't get the appeal of stories like this

Stories where the connection that establishes their relationship being rape or rape-y and the bottom just forgives him because the top's charming (?) and the bottom's a doormat. I get that it's yaoi where logic takes a back seat to plot, but why would you willingly meet up with someone who took advantage of you while you were drunk with the intention of recruiting you into the porn industry? Gee that's real top tier boyfriend material right there.

I'm gonna clarify what I meant; depth is good when it actually adds depth, not when it's a half hearted attempt to smooth out a shitty ml's rougher edges and make them more palatable. That's when the confusion sets in, why are people defending this character because of their backstory when that backstory just exists to deflect hate from a character......

I guess if you want to end the story early, its a decently satisfactory ending, I just wanted to see more of them outside of sex and extras half the time are just extra sex scenes. It just felt like they were setting us up for a mid length story and we got a short one.
