So basically Eve got over possessive and would only receive guiding from Adam.Eve would grow more ruthless and prolly hurt some people or Adam to the point Adam prolly hurt his eye (remember how Adam mentioned he can't see properly and feels like they weren't his). Then Eve, to save Adam, probably donated his eyes caz he can regenerate them back anyways and wiped Adam's and his memory to save themselves from the blame and guilt, could also be that he was scared Adam would hate him.
