While I like the second pairing more than the first, the first half still have some very solid groundwork for the world and premise of the story. The whole thing has a very simple plot [rich guy x poor dude who needs to make ends meet] for both story lines, they do a good enough job with having different dynamics from each other.
Really, really, REALLY like the 2nd couple. There's something that gets me when it's the trope 'Rich Jerk who changes themselves for the person they love' story.
