First off, this is a genuinely well-written and well-paced series. You will have little to no regrets in reading this. I genuinely enjoyed my time reading it.
With that all out of the way, read this if you're a fan of slow burn without all the pesky side drama that comes with it. It's a fake relationship premise, but all the drama regarding misunderstandings and past baggage gets resolved quickly. That could be a pro or con, depending on your tastes. It doesn't frontload a lot of drama, so at specific points, the plot feels too easy, so take that as you will when you read it.
Check this out if you're a fan of both genres. Had to bite down on something because my cackling laughter would've woken up my family while reading this. Smart use of tropes: they use it in a way that they also diverge and address all the problematic silly stuff you kind of glaze over cause you're reading that specific genre.
10/10 would recommend
it's insane that i'll be the same age as them in 5 years too
it hurts how real this all feels? we can sit here and judge the characters for doing something stupid cause we have the advantage of hindsight and omnipresence, but the way they were written opens up the same wounds i got from previous relationships
the fear of slowly falling out of love with someone, or how the things you've loved about them are now the things you hate, being in a relationship that makes you feel spent and tired and empty after every fight
hopefully, anyone who reads it finds comfort in the fact that they're not characters in a story where everything follows certain tropes or story structures and that you will find the love that'll make you feel like you're enough as a person :)
Damn, right in the feels
