obvious take but now that I think about it I feel like paskim has orchestrated all those details flashback chps so that we don't jump at the characters for behaving the way they are as the story goes on. It's like for us to see how these characters are filled with deep faults of their own (which with each of them are totally reasonable btw) and for us to understand them, that the complexity of litc which I love. They're also an example what might happen when two toxic and truamatized ppl get together
No matter what bad decisions they make right now I just can't see how I could hate any of them for it. If that was how the author wanted this to be then, it worked on me. Hell I've never been so invested in a manhwa before
