Imma disagree, this is due to bad writing, like I can clearly tell the story is just being made up as each chapter comes out. A good story takes time to build characters that readers care about. This author didn't have a direction in how they want the story and characters to be. Quite literally the only reason people are reading this is the art style or just hate reading lol
To add that's also one of the worst and laziest things you can do as an author, as I've been told before you gotta think of your characters as real people then add and apply whatever you want for your characters, this story just doesn't have that. I also agree with the idea of divorce, but it should be considered as a last resort. I think it would be best if they sought family counseling first. Back then, they had just gotten married and may not have been fully prepared. And, it wasn't a good experience.
