I'm starting to think that Sanraku is a masochist, or rather, he's treading the line between sanity and enjoying the pleasure of displeasure. To think he tried a gore game that will make you feel 100% real pain and missed it because it's offline had me thinking. Also, his friend is really going the long way to persuade Sanraku to become a pro. That's insane. And I love it.
I keep re-reading, and I must say Jaek is a very consistent asshole. The only time there's a change in his behavior is when he is jealous and drunk. Poor Dan really caught feelings for him after he took care of his grandma's bill, saved him, and then later had him stay at his house. (Jaek has ulterior motives, though, and MC, who has low self-esteem after being subjected to poverty, feels in debt.)
I've been watching crime documentaries lately, and it made me recall Jaek. It says that there's a person like Jaek who treats their partners as their property, which is called antisocial personality disorder.
It makes me think that he needs a mental psychiatrist in addition to a new physical therapist.
Can't wait for season 2. Also, I hope they tell us more about Dan's biological parents. Are they deceased? Did they leave him behind? Or was he lost when he was just a child, and no one looked for him? We badly need the backstory and why Jaek is a jerk (that this guy has a dual personality too, he changes when he's drunk).
I feel so bad for our MC. But, it's for the best, dang it! You have to leave so that he knows he's a piece of shit! He doesn't see your worth. He's in denial of his own feelings and just wants to control you most of the time. It's a toxic type of relationship. But, I know what's coming next and it's making my heart hurt. Grandma, rest in peace.
Possible endings.
1. She only chose one man and left the other one.
2. She chose a different man other than the two.
3. She chose only the one that was left because the other one died or did something stupid that disappointed her.
4. They agreed to stay together, but she will only marry one man while continuing to stay with both men. Additionally, the children will consider both men as their fathers, regardless of who the biological father is. (same ending in "Him Him and Him" )
5. Open ending. They will never tell us and it's up to us to think who she ended up.
The hate building in season 1 is intentional—what a schemer! I love it. I wonder how things will blow up in season 2. Gosh, I can't wait. I keep going back to check.
