That’s possible just the type of humour is different between Japanese and western culture so I honestly doubt that the author made jokes like that. On the other hand, I don’t know the author personally so I can’t say much either.
I do get what you mean and I have stumbled upon mangas with just sad English but it doesn’t make it right to change the words- that were originally written by author, to jokes.
I mean, they already have the acceptance of the author to translate it and after they finish the translation. Its not just the editor who will check it, the author as well will since it needs a last minute verification.
I doubt the author was mad since its been 7 chps after the first joke. If they were, we wouldnt see the jokes or worse, never published the eng chps since it was 'made fun of'.

Just a minor thought but does Alex even like Dong Gyun? He seems to only be attracted with DGs body and treats hi more like a possession rather than someone he loves.

1)The girl was in no way mature for a 7 year old and she literally acted like any kid would. 2)I feel like what she feels for him is not exactly love? I mean she first wanted a father like love and there really was no development of feelings since it’s just somehow agreed upon that she loves him. 3) Shouldn’t she know that she shouldn’t just carelessly show off a stun gun at a period where stun guns don’t exist? 4) What is with LianLians change of character? It’s way too sudden and unnatural. 5) The story skipped too much detail and explanation that it’s actually confusing.
