And why does he randomly say "He's always been by my side" after that? She didn't ask him what he felt about Jian yi, she just asked him if he liked anyone. Am I missing something? Did he just decide to directly address her hidden intent?
She asked him if he liked someone, and he immediately thought of jian yi. His feelings are so beyond liking him, so he gives that kind of answer,and instead says that he is irreplaceable
