The jester is definitely annoying, no matter what he believes in he decided to put this girl in an even worse state because of his overly righteous attitude and views. To make it even worse he’s trying to make it seem like he actually feel regret when in reality he’s upset that he doesn’t have any real standing like he thought he had. If he would have just listened and quietly helped that child and not let his emotions get the best of him there could have been a different outcome. To make it even worse, he speaks about protecting children innocence but want to serve the very woman that’s destroying everything he so call preach for. He’s in love with the woman and instead of properly acknowledging that and actually follow his words. He’s just a walking hypocrite
