like, dont get me wrong, i like the harem vibes, but seeing taewon connect with his members makes me really wanna see cute group interactions as well
i still maintain my opinion that i wish they had started setting up jay & bora in the main storyline, and then properly finished jiwoon & seohyun before getting into bora & jay.
bora & jay's story....there's nothing wrong with it when you view it as a stadalone, but there being no buildup for the entire main story, and then kinda just...abruptly switch stories just because jiwoon & seohyun get together. idk, i just feel like the switch could've been handled better as well.
also, jay & bora's story is just kind of boring in general. like, again, if it were it's own standalone series, then maybe i'd be more into the development of their relationship and them as characters, but the dragging of feet on bora's end, the jumping through loops & bounds just to keep secrets, the pointless side character's and their crushes that only exist to make the main couples jealous—it feels like they're cramming too much into the story in too little time, when most people probably (or obviously) haven't really even gotten to warm up to jay & bora as a couple
i rolled my eyes so much, even though i dont hate seungha and i didn't hate him and nari together lmaooo
but i'm really interested to see where their conversation will go. i hope they don't get back together; seungha really needs to figure himself out and nari does not deserve to be strung along while it happens.
but, i can't wait to see jaekyung lose (hopefully) <3
it'd be nice if dan gets an offer to be the physical therapist for the other place & he takes it since jaekyung harshly rejected him
but this is what i hate about straight series sometimes. a character could have potential to be queer-coded, but they don't even allow for the ambiguity and just make the. like anybody. dajin does not need to start having a crush on jay, it feels so unnecessary. bc at the end of the day, i just KNOW it's only for the big reveal that bora has feelings for him and they are dating
anyways, i've said this before, but i get why everyone is obsessed with bora's life. like they're teens and they're friends, of course you want to know about the people you keep close to you. plus, it would make me feel some type of way if someone who i thought was my friend felt like they couldnt tell me anything about what's going on with them, especially if it's bad.
also, i feel like korean people being nosy as all fuck is a common trope in webtoons/manhwas and kdramas (and i think it's a common thing irl? idk for sure tho). you always see how characters' personal lives get put on blast all the time. which, i guess doesn't make the obsession any better lmao
this is the part that i hate in a lot of these BLs: the (weak & small) bottom getting abused by strangers just so the top can realize that HE'S the only one allowed to abuse the bottom as an expression of "love"
the way i was genuinely getting a little emotional at dowon opening up and them having a sweet moment and then they immediately start suckin n fuckin again i cannot i love them forever n always tho <3
there's nothing i hate more than the mindset of the successful party in the love (tri)angle thinking they can appease the losing party by being happy like bitch??? are you DUMB??? who tf would be cheered up by the love of their life and their best friend that got chosen over them being happy together?

i know i already said this ladt chapter, but this chapter made me realize that seungha's moments with his friends IS more interesting, because i feel like we'll get to see him let loose a lot more and act more like a goofy teen maybe. once he gets rejected once and for all, he'll be free.
of course, him having a crush & eventually dating is also a part of (some) teens' lives, but his relationship with nari kinda hinged on him being the perfect (uptight) partner in crime. i think it's better that he moves on from that.
i think that's why chanyang works well with nari. he's not really burdened by anything (thiugh his mother did have her expectations of him) and he does whatever tf he wants and he's totally honest lol he has a strong sense of self.
anyways, i'm always excited to see how the characters grow and change over the course of these arcs.
also, i might have been a chanari from the jump, but yunari is always #1 in my heart
i'm automatically suspicious of parents that come to their children like this after hella years in these webtoons, so yeah, i do not trust that man.
especially not after the way he talked about haejoon's mom and their "memories". like if haejoon was really young, it makes sense he wouldn't remember anything, but idk. i feel like he remembers so much from his childhood, i definitely feel like the memories are false or misconstrued to make his mother seem extreme or something.
karyan is so cute, and i do like his moments with jerry, but i will love always jerry & ilya more dkdjdjf

honestly, even though i love the romance aspect of the story, all the platonic dynamics are sooooooo peak.
i had zero hopes for jaekyung to react even somewhat positively, and he still disappoints me.
also, he's so fucking annoying like he's not the one purposefully ignoring his shitty ass condition even though everybody is telling him to cool it. if anything happens to your career, sir, it's YOUR fault.
i get why seul prioritized getting jungwoo back to the set, but i wish she had taken the opportunity to try and talk to him 1:1 about why he was acting the way he was. if not then, then hopefully they can talk a bit on the car ride back?

i love this is so much more than just a simple bl story, and it's also so much more than one of those "torture porn" toxic stories. i just hope the author is able to make everything come together by the end.
honestly, i love the way this story is progressing. it's so nice to have an actual story alongside the romance instead of the romance being the main focus and having everything else inevitably/potentially fall flat.
plus, i feel like if they had just jumpstarted into the romance, i probably would still dislike jigu bc he was so annoying in the beginning (even tho he had very valid reasons). i had a similar issue with jaeyoung from semantic error, i never got over his bs in the beginning & eventually dropped it lmao but that's irrelevant
this story is fun!! it sounds crazy, but BL works are still stories that can have more substance to them than JUST the romance
