i dont like drunk sex scenes (unless both are drunk, then that's hot lol), but yeomin couldnt have at least been cute, giggly, touchy AWAKE kinda drunk? he was just straight up asleep
i know ppl get annoyed by others applying "real morals" to fiction, but if i'm reading smth that's supposed to he a smutty romance (romance as in, the two characters eventually enter a relationship), i do NAWT wanna see one of the characters take advantage of the other one, particularly during sex. it's always so uncomfortable and unnecessary.
but at the same time, i guess it's also in character for what's his face (icb i genuinely forgot his name already). he's been a shitty lover, so it's really not surprising.

but also, i cant imagine the anxiety, paranoia, and just overall anger that skylar is feeling. i would be out of my mind if i were him.
i knew this was going to be a conflict. i mean, it was obvious, but still. i'm interested in seeing how horrific doha is going to get with bada determined to get out of the game. a part of me feels like bada is going to end up trapped in the game & forced to be with doha (and i say forced, but what i'm really speculating is that he'll "fall in love").
either that, or bada gets out in the nick of time and all the characters end up being real people, and he gets put in that situation again, but in real life this time. and doha will probably remember him.
every moment between them feels like a punch to the gut, i just want them to be happy and free
all i'm hoping..........is that there isn't a sex scene when yeomin's drunk off his ass. THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING.
but they're so cute. i love taeseo's grumpy & supposedly indifferent narrations while being so desperate to find yeomin and so sweet and gentle with him.
this feels like one of those last heartwarming moments before the end, but I dont want it to end
yeomin isn't the only poor mc with a shitty past that i've read about, but for some reason i'm just especially sad for him
and i will forever love how ouka was kinda made out to be the normal & stylish city girl, but in reality, she's extremely silly and quirky just like everyone else.
sometimes i feel like readers forget to suspend disbelief (or whatever the appropriate phrase i'm looking for is) for these kinds of stories.
like yes, us readers deserve good stories and compelling characters—and yeah people are allowed to make criticisms—but like, it's a cheesy and cliche historical romance that will inevitably end with the female lead and the male lead getting together. it's really not meant to be taken so seriously there are some stories in these genres that are a lot more compelling and worthy of analysis and whatnot, but stories like this are definitely more lighthearted.
anyways, the male lead is not nearly as bad as some people make him out to be. yeah he's a little pushy, but that's only because he knows he and louise have mutual feelings for each other, but she's trying to run away from them for "some reason", though we know it's because she feels like she doesn't deserve it considering she's not the real louise.
also, in my opinion, it honestly makes sense for him to keep his movements/motives under wraps considering 1) he's probably been doing that for several years now before reconnecting with louise, and 2) it's also just really not uncommon for characters to hide things from their partners when they don't want to burden them.
making that scene suggestive kinda gave me the ick
i swear i dont hate sinwoo, but i always had a feeling that he and yusung would never last if they ever got together.
anyways, i love taewon & yusung's banter even when their relationship is rocky. they just have such great chemistry, i'm forever glad they're soulmates.
that ending reminded me of this one bl i dropped bc the art style & the vibes was giving happy, fluffy romance, but the ml was giving deranged pyscho felt like i was reading a psychological thriller at one point
but at least they're happy i guess....
chae-heon kinda annoys me. not saying they're a horrible couple or anything, but he irks me. like how are you gonna get mad that someone you knew was drunk didnt really remember being intimate? that's so dumb to me.
