and before yall attack me saying the relationship is toxic; ye it is, and those two gotta work through w.e happened but i feel like once its in the clear and they heal from it they could become a stronger pair. If exes can deal and heal why should they be prohibited by past mistakes?

Not really considering that blue hair just left and started a relationship with another woman, all that goes out the window. It is one thing if shes genuine, but she is not and she even tried to hit on orange when she knew she was in relationship. That is a no for me. If she wanted to intrude in her life like that she should of contacted her prior instead of trying to mess with an already shaky relationship that she had a part in hurting.

Gaarademon, what are you talking about? Blue hair? Are you talking about Seowoo? Seowoo has only ever been in one relationship and that's with Hayoung. If you mean Lee Hwa, she wasn't in an exclusive relationship, and she never really hit on Hayoung, as far as I can recall. She teases her a bit, almost exclusively for the purpose of pushing her -further away-.

I mean, either way, Lee Hwa and Hayoung are definitely not happening, but still.

This is some lazy writing: making yoosun the villain. Whats the point of a triangle love story if one of the main characters does not receive sympathy from the audience??? Also disrespectful to the people who liked her character. The only thing that would redeem the story is to highlight the idea that Yoosun isn't wholeheartedly evil, but is just lost and confused and scared. She never had anything of her own: not a home, not a family not even her life. She doesn't want to lose Dohwa either.... Her methods are selfish but she doesn't know of any other way to behave given she learned everything from her "evil" aunt. Furthermore, Hyewon is an angel who never commits any wrongdoings which adds to this whole arc of evil vs good. Humans are multifaceted and complex, yet this manhua is shallow in avoiding to demonstrate both sides: the good and the bad in one person. If hyewon committed some atrocious acts or/and Yoosun committed good acts it would balance out and make for a more impactful story. But now everyone ships dohwa with hyewon and its boring and predictable. The writer is clearly biased towards her interest in dohwa/hyewon, which a writer should never do. In any case im rambling but its only because a good manhua turned into shit through lazy writing...

Lastly, I do feel like hyewon and dohwa fit better since they have similar goals and interests. But I think yoosun deserves her own happy ending, as a respectful gesture to the fans that followed the manhua for so long and who liked her character initially. Yoosun deserves justice.

Meh I think it’s been a fair portrayal. Yoosun started out being written as an “angel” herself, especially in contrast to hyewon’s actions. At first it was very easy to ship Yoosun with Dohwa, and I didn’t much like Hyewon at all. However as the story continued, we start discovering the hidden complexities of Hyewon’s character and gradually it’s written so that we would flip our allegiance. Especially after we realize just how much Hyewon cares for Dohwa despite her own struggles. I don’t think that’s lazy writing. If anything was lazy, it was having made Yoosun “too perfect” in the beginning thereby making the transition overly jarring. Like wow she’s this selfish, but we had no idea! Although that may have been the point. And honestly I’m tired of every negative thing she does being blamed on the aunt. Hyewon grew up with the same maternal figure most of her adult life as well. They’re both selfish, but at least Hyewon’s concern for Dohwa is genuine whereas Yoosun just views her as an object to possess.

@Anonymous im not really talking bout the characters actions but the writers. I despise the evil vs angel storylines as they demonstrate a poor understanding of reality and psychology. The story drags on and on for no apparent reason. The characters could have been more multifaceted and challenging, not predictable. It's always more interesting to sympathize even with the villain but when they are outright evil it takes away all that moralistic tensions and holistic perspective on human behavior. It is lazy writing cause its the most simple model of writing a story. The only thing the story has going for itself are the interesting elements (the flower maidens etc) and setting.

I'm not idolizing Yoosun, I'm just sad that she could have been a better character, an interesting character, but the writers fucked her up since they couldn't think up any other drama plot.

Also as a side note, Hyewon was always a tsundere it was predictable she was going to fall in love and soften up. Everyone always still shipped hyewon with dohwa cause they wanted the flower maidens together, they fit each other more. Yoosun didnt really have that connection and then she becomes the villain also haha its just there was never tension my dude and no suspense just lazy writing
