Beside that can sex and nudity be an expression of a character or a key to a storyline (ask every actor you know). The warlock is doing it, because witches seduce and kill men, he is no exception. And the prince is a confident young men, he is doing it for relaxing, forgetting the witch he fell for and finding release. It doesn't feel like a fxcking just because for the sake of including a sex scene. Maybe that maiden is a key. Like Janice in the story.
