it shows some personal growth for the female main character and she's almost likable towards the end but her ex and her shit parents should have been worse off. She should have gone no contact with both of them years ago rather than forced her partner to deal with her ineptitude; the homewrecker chapter feels like it should have been more of a thing rather than a one-off and bear guy deserves better overall
The hero is useless, the protagonist is a coward and everyone in this story is 2 dimensional. Did nobody check and see if the "hero" has charm magic or whatever? What's the point?
As time goes on the guy's annoying qualities take a backseat to the girl's: she's been basically harassing him this entire time before abruptly pushing him away when he starts to get invested in her and her species. Like girl that's not how you get a relationship, even with someone as mid as him
