The prince's face just got smacked the hell out of, he's out there being free. Tis true that his gf had fled but the short hair has nothing to do with it, prolly just a wig.
My reasoning for it being the 2nd prince:
1. The maid looks exactly like the 2nd prince when he was young and very much alike his adult looks. It's probably been done with some make-up
2. In this art style the eyes of pretty women have gentle but defined lashes on the upper part of the eye and since his gf was very pretty she shouldnt have had such a simple line drawn in comparisation to the prince himself normally.
3. The expression, way of talking and whole vibe fit the 2nd prince's to a t and his gf has way gentler vibes, even if it's an act she should be hiding a smug and scheming personality rather than one with a short fuse that's filled with anger.
