I agree that bierasure is a thing on mangas but I don't think that the seme (or the author) meant it like that-
I think that it was just brought up in the argument part as a "yo I've always only been in relationships with women but now I'm into you so you can either get over it or just reject me" type of thing you know-
because he seemed really comfortable with being into a man himself, the scene with his friend and the whole "i wanna be your boyfriend without the quotation marks" I think showed that very well.
But anyways I really liked this manga, I was expecting it to be a horny festival with the cover so I was pleasantly surprised ╮(￣▽￣)╭
