What a lovely story! Good character development, solid storytelling, the insights into the strengths and vulnerabilities of both MCs, and how a shared past can become both a turning point and a foundation. What struck me the most is the line where Sakae says that Sensei Fukuda was his "light" at one of the darkest periods in his life. And then their relationship comes full circle: he grows up to become the "light" to others that his sensei inspired him to be.
I just love how both of them are so open and honest with each other, that it's beautiful to watch how their relationship unfolds; mentor x student, to newly-minted colleagues, to supportive adults, and then onward.
Oh and shoutout to Asamiya Sensei! Always love a deadpan, take-no-sh*t, yet supportive character!
So...erm... yeah... I'm hoping to finish putting together Volume 3 soon (there are a few more extras). Anyone who can lead me to the raws of Volume 4 and a text translation? I'd be happy to work on them too. (●'◡'●)ノ
Thank you very very much for working on this one of the many long list of dropped series that never see the light again (had the chance to ever be picked up again). I almost gave up hope on this one, so once again my huge gratitude for picking up this title again after so long. It's been years after DMP left this series on limbo and only released the 1st vol only on NA.
Regarding the raw, have you tried to check and asked the raw providers over at Yaoi Otaku forum whether you'll be allowed to used their raw? I think they have the 4th vol if I'm not mistaken, but I'll try to check it too and get back to you later. As for the text, I'll try googling for it too, and If I happen to find it, I'll let you know. Sorry...if I'm not that much help to you.
You're most welcome! I'm really glad that people are still enjoying/starting to enjoy this series, even after such a long time. I guess I'm also shooting for the moon, hoping Harukawa Sensei will release new adventures for our two couples.
And yes, thank you so much for the offer. ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ That would be a big help! I've been trawling around a few sites for Volume 4 stuff, but not much so far. I'll try registering again with Yaoi Otaku (it's been a while!)
trying not to freak out about the news of a NEW CHAPTER!!! (er... nvm). I was just saying the other day that I wished Sensei would publish more adventures for our fave couples (ok now, I'm really freaking out). (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
The good soul @nandeyanen has offered to try translating from the Chinese.
If it's all right with you to share the Japanese raws, perhaps other folks can also come in to help translate. I'd be happy to put all of them together!
The story was going along nicely, and I was thinking that, finally, here was an opportunity for Seiji to look into and do something about the fears and prejudices brought about by ignorance. Maybe even use his father's influence and wealth (for both father and son to atone for his sister's murder) to spur changes. It could have also shown how Maya heals from a lifetime of oppression and grow into someone more enlightened, even discover, on behalf of other omegas, that they can also become productive members of society... But HECK NO. Just a quick WHAM, BAM, Thank you, Ma'am of an ending. ( ̄へ ̄)
