Had a bit of a slower start, but really great plot and characters/character development. You really feel yushin's journey as he slowly grows as a person and gradually finds his humanity as a fish with jihye. All of the fish knowledge was mixed in really well and you could tell the author knew what they were talking about. It was smooth and situations always made sense in how they resolved themself without reliance on plot armour/deus ex machina so that was really refreshing, especially when compared to a lot of isekai out there. The enemies were well matched for the mc, and the final boss was built up excellently, with just enough hints/foreshadowing while still keeping it interesting for the final reveal. The 4th wall break at the end was also gold lmao.
Honestly a really good read on all fronts, with a lot more depth to it than I initally anticipated considering the title lol
The stories all felt kind of rushed and didn't really have endings, (or even really beginnings?) It just felt like reading excerpts from something else where I was missing the context and then as soon as things started making a bit of sense they just ended, as abruptly as they started.
Like for the first story, what was even the point of introducing a new character (the adoptive son) and giving so much info on him if you're just going to end it? It would've been great if he could've helped jesse get over his grief by sharing some more things from seere or smt, but literally as soon as he's introduced it ends??
Uhhhh Rishar, I get that you're protective and all but isn't you going rn one of the worst choices as your pheromone could make Etienne react and undo the unstable disguise magic?
Also why would she trust smt she's never used before?? And not even mention it properly to Etienne (like at least how long it's going to last)?? It seems straight up dumb considering the importance of their plans/continuing to hide his identity???
I feel like this started off cute but has become more and more like weird self-insert fanfic. The characters have zero depth and feel like such caricatures (basically everyone except for mc and fl are either bad or incompetent, we see very few repeat interactions with them after they've served their purpose). The more I read the more it feels like some 30yos fanfic about some girl they liked in hs, and it's a bit odd that as a grown ass adult he feels romantically towards a minor
This would have been so much better if they used their own original setting/characters rather than trying to butcher all of the greek gods and genderbend them. Honestly the story itself is cute but everytime they introduce a new god and have their character be a 180 of what they are it just feels so off
AHDHDHSH THIS IS SO GOOD!! Also love that they had an open-ended ending for this, hinting at potential romance for our female leads but not forcing it in any way! Truly a hidden gem, the characters are all so real and the growth that they experience throughout is so well written, what an amazing read!!
Main couple is cute but everyone around them is annoying af istg. It's as Saeki said to his manager, they're treating them like products/commodities rather than actual fcking people. Just because they work for an agency doesn't mean that they can mamipulate all aspects of their lives as they see fit. I'm especially disappointed in their managers who should be workinf closely enough with them to understand them as people and so to completely disregard everything that they want in favour of what the company/managers want/think is best is just blech
Their "friends" too, like couldn't they both at least have one person that's there for them to actually hear them out and support them and be their actual friend? Especially having such busy careers and stressful schedules, idk it seems just a bit too forced and it takes away from the story for me.
