I might agree with the people who want to like it, but just cant get past the fact that:

I know it wasn't "deep"...but they kissed to "seal" a MARRIAGE. That's child marriage, king or not. But during the marriage they kiss. Khalid himself does it again in a *romatic* context...again. at this point in the story the Kahlid is 8yo. Ilya doesn't react to it as he is sleeping at this moment, so yeah, but we still visually confront this 8 yo's attraction to this adult man literally 2 pages later...Ilya goes in heat and they both feel that intensity...which if you KNOW Alpha and Omega tropes, that implies some type of sexuality/sexual urge. They don't do anything, or perform anything, but he grabs at his teeth...I like to think that if I saw this happen in real life, I would probably push that person doing that to an 8yo- away. Granted, he pushes himself away...but still, that's just...ugh.
Then when they meet he's only 18...18. I feel like he's still not "adult enough" for me. It would have been nice if he came back at like 21 at the youngest.
