This is a psychological yaoi manga. If you know anything about Harada sensei and their work, you know that they DO NOT care for foo foo fluffy kiss love stories. They are uncomfortable and make you go "I don't like this at all." or "NOPE.NOPE.NOPE." That being said. This is a twisted and sick love story about a pedophile who literally preys on a kid and then the kid grows up wanting to reconnect with his rapist and then tries to get the pedophile to fall in love with him. The art was amazing, the storytelling was intense. The story...I only read it once, and I never will read this again. No matter how great Harada sensei is, there are just things that are too fu-ked to handle and this story is one of them.
The writers create a world where we already understand a group of marginalized people exist and are suffering through their world. We as the audience already agree with the Omegas that they are people too, only to find their love interest to be less then redeemable. Im not squeamish to yaois with rape involved in the story, but give the omegas a chance to stand up for themselves and grow from victims to survivors who find that they realize they deserve better, even if that means no happy lovey-dovey ending.
the fact that the lady selling g the rings immediately changed her tone and was kind enough to understand and still be such a sweetheart makes me feel a lil more proud to be queer and that even in the world of fiction people are willing to understand.
