I'm not against men crying at all, but how they portray men in this story doesn't really justify those in reality. That's why the more I read this, the more I realized how detached the story gets. I don't know, maybe I just expected too much. No one's distinct that shines on their own here. They all seem relative.
And yes, I'm full aware this is just a manhwa, and all for the purpose of entertainment. I just... wanna let out my sentiments.

This is a gay friend group with a lot of emotionally charged interactions with one another. They aren't just friends crying over each other but a messy group of people pining after one another on top of being friends. That goes without adding the fact that the reason they are even this emotional is because they're watching someone they all love become suicidal and spiral..
These guys were living their best life and are coming to terms with the fact that they left him alone for years and didnt see how bad it got.

Byul's the bottom

girl the fact that you type like this shows you need to get off the platform. this is only fiction. you don't even know what fetish means. the commenter here doesn't masturbate for the sake of knowing who's top or bottom. they explained properly to you they wanna know the dynamics as a couple
if you can't understand basic shit like this, you need to get a life.

it's anthropomorphic, hon. and with such confidence that you claim anthropomorphism is a lot "normal" than that of simply assuming a 17 year old's relationship dynamic— which is inevitable coz it's actually right there on the tags, and i bet they'll still grow and mature— has me getting amused. girl, what are you even fighting for? you sure pour efforts over these fictional characters.

I think I have gone way to overboard with my reply. I apologize Asking top or bottom maybe uncomfortable to most people... But I think of it as like asking who's the man or woman in their relationship. Who takes the feminine role or the masculine role? It doesn't have to be sexual...
If they are man and woman in their relationship, real life people would know who's gonna take up the role of the top (masculine) or the bottom (feminine).
Idk. I kinda cringe at my comment. But I think of as roles. Relationship have some sort of dynamics.
Anyway don't reply to this comment. It sounds cringy. But if you feel uncomfortable abt it, it's fine tbh.
In my perspective, its kinda weirder if you dote too much in this fictional characters. You watch them grow when they're younger and minor......and then what? watch them have seggs

Wait I think I have a better explanation. As a flow up to my previous reply. I think this explains so much better.
It's more like the dynamics of the relationship between man and woman as explained in sex education in highschool.
In this fictional world, it's about relationship dynamics between an alpha and omega. We know for sure their perspective roles and expectations without knowing their sex life.
But in their case, it's alpha and alpha. You can't expect two alphas in a relationship that they aren't gay. Both of them will have new roles and new expectations that are quite unique for an alpha ang omega couple.
Me, as a reader, I want to expect what type of role they're gonna bring into their relationship. We have different expectations and so are you.
You'll defend it like... Y'know they're just in highschool. Babes, in highschool, it's enough for your age to have basic conversation about pregnancy awareness and sex education...societal roles and gender values.
They are also 16-17. Like in my country, they're not highschool anymore...16-17 are college students (long story but 16 in my college are Freshmen in college in my country).
For me, they are just asking about the dynamics of the relationship like this...
Example: As for me, I still prefer Byul to be the top alpha because it's my expectations towards him.... Hopefully he is capable will treat his omega well.
But I was extremely disappointed by how feminine his looks were and his annoying gullible personality just like his mother...so effeminate. He sometimes acts like those girls in shoujo manga who watches their teenage crushes meters away. He needs someone to watch over him... someone more capable and secure to protect him.
How can Byul be a Top if he's gonna like that? I expected a seme to take a dominant rational masculine role that he could protect and provide his partner uke. Just like Dojin to Hyesung. I expect an uke to be at ease with the seme because he knows that he is reliable and secure.
See? This is my expectations in relationship between an uke and seme. This is the dynamics (interaction) of how I wanted to see in their relationship.
My expectations as a reader and My expectations of how their relationship dynamics (or interaction) should be.
It's not Necessarily what the story SHOULD BE because ofc its up to the author. But that's it. Expectations. Gender Roles and Values.
Interaction. Feminine and Masculine Traits. Relationships. Its part of relationship dynamics.
Example also: Role of who's the protector or damsel in distress. Ofc the masculine one is the protector. etc
Ok I'm gonna end it right here. This is definitely my last comment.
I'm rereading this to cleanse my soul
