No, chapter 2 is properly chapter 2. If you go onto a different website you can read chapter 1. It goes into how MC is looking for his lost brother, he's sleeping with a redd head informant girl for information, the same girl you meet later. He gets a mercenary job protecting a "sacred artifact" so that he can check the temple for his brother. The entire mercenary squad is killed by the heathens, and MC opens the carriage door to find ML.

Woowon is going through bad ptsd after confronting his father which ended with his father dead. Woowon's father had tried to strangle Woowon, leaving Woowon unconscious, while his father ran away. Currenty Woowon seems to think he could have saved (he ran looking for his father after regaining his conscious) his father right before he was run over by car but chose not to. We don't know as of now if that really happened or if its a reaction to the trauma. He has flashbacks and is desperately clinging to Seoan, getting distressed if he isn't in the same room as him. He needs therapy asp but it has not been brought up in the story yet.
Oh and if you don't remember, Woowon's father doensn't care about Woowon and is only using him as an atm.
