Please ones that’s not too overly toxic (around the same level as Killing Stalking). But, I’m fine with dark topic if it’s handled correctly.

GL Recommendations for Beginners

I only read BL and I want to get into GL. I’ve already seen “Citrus” and “Bloom into You” not a fan of either series. Can you give me some recommendations. I don’t care if it’s; Anime, Manga, Manhwa, or Manhua.

I know I will get a lot of hate and downvote. But, I really don’t care I’m just stating my opinion (some facts).
Grill isn’t a good transgender icon.
Reasons why is the why their are written compare to great trans characters like Hange/Hanji (From Attack on Titans).
Hanji (I’m talking about the manga not the anime) mostly use neutral pronouns, some feminine and masculine pronouns here and there. So, It feel genuine that Hange is Non-Binary/Genderqueer.
With Grell it feels like the author doesn’t care. Like, Grell referencing to themselves as a female is a joke and meant to be taken as a joke. I doesn’t feel genuine. Everyone keeps using he/him pronouns for Grell in the Manga/Anime.
For Hanji solution they mess up in the Anime and only use She/Her pronouns. But, in the Manga they use They/Them and other characters never discuss Hange gender in the AOT storyline they just use those pronouns. The author does bring up and say “Not to use gendered pronouns for Hanji” I love Isayama so much!
The author for Black Butler never talk about Grell gender and never said if Grell is a Transwoman.
That’s why I feel like Grell isn’t a great Trans icon. I can’t say that their a Transwoman because I feel like is disrespectful to actual trans people. Because of the way their were written.

    I generally like eccentric characters. They aren't the usual cliche play boys or gentlemen or whatever. I think i like him mainly because he's extremely smart (i love smart characters), he's handsome and strong. Its the usual in what ppl like in anime characters ya know

Why Is It Bad The Hate “Citrus” and Dislike “Bloom into you”

I feel like people in the Yuri/Shoujo Ai community kinda forgot that people are allowed to have opinions and dislikes. Like, for example I said “I personal hate Citrus. People who says it’s a LGBT manga I don’t agree with” multiple comments say “I’m a bitch” or “I have not good taste” ect. Another time I was asking for recommendations. Someone suggested “Bloom into you” I said “Sorry I couldn’t get into that manga” tons of fans ask me to “Read the Manga again you’ll get into it” (this comment don’t bother me it’s just I get all the time. If some dislike a manga or anime just drop it. They’ll pick up again if they want to.) or “Maybe you’re homophobic” or “Hater”. There’s two comments I get from both sides (Citrus or Bloom into you) “You’re jealous that you’re not lesbian” or “Shut up you’re not lesbian you won’t understand” or “You’re homophobic”
First all of, I am lesbian lol. Second of all, you don’t have to lesbian to understand the storyline. Great many of Yuri/Shoujo Ai fans are straight. Some might be bi, les, or pan ect (part of the LGBT Community). Just because a Manga/Anime is popular doesn’t mean everyone is going to love it/like it. People are allow to have opinions and preference.

    I totally agree. Everybody has different tastes, but people get easily upset when you don't have the same opinions as them or the majority. I had a similar thing happen to me too a couple of days ago. I started reading this one manga that everyone was hyping up but couldn't get further than a fourth of the story (I kept reading hoping that I would understand why everyone was obsessed with it but alas). I said I dropped it in the comments and I got so many dislikes...
