It’s not about the what-ifs or could’ve-beens to Skylar, it’s the the fact that Cirrus orchestrated it so Skylar would be left feeling lonely and distraught, only for Cirrus to swoop in and make his move on him. It was an act of betrayal because Skylar had no knowledge that her and Cirrus were friends, let alone that is was preordained action of his that would ultimately hurt both of them
